This project started as a way for me to create a "softer, gentler" alternative to the sometimes harsh and pessimistic world of Morrowind for my four young daughters, who were sometimes a little intimidated by quests to assassinate strangers, bleak landscapes, and midnight ambushes by Dark Brotherhood thugs.

So I had created a private island with a few "companion" friends; our especial favorites were Ian McConville's Moogles, and Nightwing69's dragons. The private island had a more lighter fantasy feel to it, with a brighter and higher saturated color scheme, as opposed to the often dusty mutes tones of the maingame. Experiments on this home project gradually gave me more confidence with the game editor.

My kids enjoyed this so much, they urged me to go public with it, and after some very favorable support on the modders forums (Often from adults eager to play in this world themselves), I started to recreate the project from scratch as a larger plugin to the main game.

In April, however, I decided to go one step further, and instead create an entire total conversion mod, which means instead of a special island tacked onto the maingame map, it is now going to be its own standalone universe.

This means it will be MUCH bigger (about 2200+ exterior cells compared to the orginal 45+), it will take MUCH longer to complete, and it won't be compatible with characters already playing in Morrowind -- in fact, there will be no Bretons, Imperials etc, but instead various races based off pixies, dragons and moogles.

For a comparision of the change in geography, the maps pictured show the "old" project as an island off the main Morrowland coast; the map at right shows it now as its own complete universe and roughly 1.5 times the size of the original full game.
